ABOUT US

MAAT Explorations Inc. is a recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in Maryland. It was formed by a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about teaching and inspiring others to explore and discover their ancestral history.

Gregory and Judith Ginyard are the founders of M.A.A.T. Explorations Inc. (Mankind Accessing African Truth). We chose MAAT (pronounced mah-at) as our name because this represents the commandments of the Kemetic principles of love, truth, justice and righteousness. From our travel to Kemet (Egypt) on a 15-day tour, we experienced the most amazing history and artifacts in the world. It aroused a spiritual consciousness that obligated us to inform our melanated brothers and sisters to embrace an awakening. Our organization was formed to assist African Americans to explore their ancestry, culture, heritage, and legacy of the African diaspora.

MAAT Explorations was created to provide individuals with an opportunity to explore ancestral history and learn to know thyself. Historical reflections resurrect our consciousness. The knowledge of what happened to our Ancient Egyptian Ancestors gives us knowledge of what must be done in the present and future.

Our Vision

To offer educational opportunities, informational workshops, seminars and mentoring programs for groups, individuals, youth and families by referring them to existing resources in the community. We strive to provide an opportunity for all to travel to Africa to explore Ancient Egyptian history through collaboration with existing educational travel resources led by experienced scholars with vast knowledge of travel to Africa and African history.
